Hair 2 Heels bi-annual Fashion Show benefits local charities.

Hair 2 Heels fashion shows give local talent and businesses the ability to showcase themselves while supporting great causes in our community. Hair 2 Heels helps men, women, and children of all ages build confidence and learn what it feels like to be in professional fashion show. Previous charities have included Harbor House and the Kanaan Bunn Foundation.

Hair 2 Heels thanks you for supporting the local charities, businesses, and sponsors of our show. Please direct any questions about the show to raquel@dpmstudios.com.

If you or someone you know wants to participate,  Pass the word!  We also need sponsors for the show to help rent the lighting, print the flyers and programs etc.

Let us know if you know a business that may be interested.

Reunited! LOST DOG: Kenly NC exit 106 off I-95

chevy

LOST DOG: last seen at Days Inn, Kenly NC exit 106 off I-95.

“This is my compnaion as I am a breast cancer survivor. I am lost without him, Please help me get Chevy back. He has a special diet and I am concerned that if someone picked him up he isn’t eating. Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated. I want my Chevy home. I live in Florida.”

If you have any info, please contact help@jcapl.org

UPDATE 2/21/12:

FOUND AFTER MISSING 11 DAYS: Chevy went missing from a hotel in Kenly while the family was out to eat. They returned to their room and the door was opened and he was gone. Chevy only weighs about 1 lb. Since the owners were from Florida they looked as long as they could with no luck so they had returned to Florida.

They came back to Kenly Friday to look again. They put up flyers everywhere. A woman saw the flyers and then the family this afternoon and said she had just seen the tiny dog in a muddy field. He was hiding in an old shed. Chevy seems to be fine.

I met the family at Wilson’s ER Vet to check on the dog and to meet these people I have been talking to for the last 11 days. They are extremely happy to have their dog back especially since the woman had survived breast cancer and Chevy had been her constant companion. GREAT NEWS!! UNBELIEVABLE!!

Chevy was fairly clean but very thin so the family feels as though someone had him, and when they put up so many signs it must had made the person nervous and let him go. That is one lucky family to have found their tiny little dog in such good condition.

Special Thanks to Ella on Her 10th Birthday

Ella_donation

Ella recently turned 10 years old!!  This generous young lady asked for donations to JCAPL instead of toys for her birthday. This past Saturday, she donated two toys, one bag of dog food, and $45.

What a spectacular gift to our furry friends.  We all really appreciate it! Every cent will go towards their health, care, and happiness while in our program.

Ella, you are a super-star to JCAPL!!!

Huge Thank You

Huge Thank You to the donor of this collection of doggy supplies: medicine, treats, sweaters, blankets, and more! They will all go to needy and thankful dogs.

These were dropped at Clayton Animal Hospital today.

If you find anything while you are cleaning out your closets, contact us, or drop off at CAH. We can’t do it without you!!!
